Billie Ruth Carlson, 75, of Southside, departed this life on Sunday, June 4, 2023. She was born in Ames, Iowa, on January 5, 1948, to Floyd “Tony” Martin and Pauline Maze Martin.
She and Mark Carlson were married on October 17, 1970, in Wichita, Kansas, and they enjoyed over fifty-two years of marriage. She worked in Healthcare and loved being an LPN. After years of nursing she worked at White Rogers Manufacturing as a machinist. She was a member of White Drive Baptist Church in Batesville.
Billie is survived by her husband, Mark, of the home: sons, James (Mandy) Carlson, Mark (Lisa) Carlson, Eric (Janine) Carlson; sisters, Patricia Heuback, Marguerite Childers, Paula (Rob) Dickey, Jeana (Jose) Quintero, and Toni (Robert) Holmes; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Paulette, and a son, Daniel.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service, 2180 Batesville Blvd, Southside, with Bro. Taylor Gillespie officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Egner Cemetery in Southside.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2023 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and contInue until service time.
Pallbearers will be Robert Holmes, JD Carlson, Travis Carlson, Jon Holmes, Brandon Martin, and Andrew Huezo.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rob Dickey, Kelbie Carlson, and Chris Holmes.
