David Lloyd McBride

David Lloyd McBride, 82, of Batesville, died on Friday, October 22, 2021. He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on July 30, 1939, to Loyd McBride and Marian Elena Read McBride.

On June 22, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee, he and Betty Sue Anderson were married, and they enjoyed over fifty-eight years of marriage.

He was a member in the Southside Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness. He served as an Elder for many years. He had a Doctorate in Pharmacy and Chemistry.

David enjoyed fishing, telling corny jokes and singing 50's and 60's tunes. He loved talking with people about the Bible and longed for a peaceful New World.

David is survived by his wife, Betty Sue McBride; daughter, Amy Suellen McBride, of Batesville; son, John David McBride, of Huntsville; niece, Marian Jolene Ball, Eleah Dawn Anderson, Stephanie Elaine Anderson, Shelly Gough, Christy Craig; nephews, Sidney Raymond Ball, Daniel Webster Ball, David Golden, Jason Frank Anderson, Steven and Michael Pike, Keith Pike; as well as many friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Anna Cathryn Ball, and niece, Jana Jackson.

A Zoom Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.
