Helen Lucy Tarvin

Helen Lucy Tarvin, 62, of Newark departed this life on Saturday, February 5, 2022.  She was born in Gloversville, New York on July 6, 1959, to Herb Poultney and Pauline Saint Louis Poultney.

She was a homemaker who loved her family dearly.  She had a free spirit and enjoyed all styles of music.  She loved people and would do anything to help anyone.  Everyone she met was like family to her.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Eric (Lacey) Payne, of Mountain View, Arkansas, his twin brother, Chad (Sheena) Payne, of Cleburne, Texas, and John Vanevera, of Mountain View;  her brothers, Herb Poultney and Daryl Poultney, both of New York; her sisters, Celia (Bill) Henry, of Johnstown, New York, Deirtra (Bob) Baker, of Gloversville, New York, Lenora (Tony) Fiorenza, of Glen, New York, Vicki (Rance) Owens, of Johnstown, New York, and Katrina (David) Owens, of Fort Plain, New York; grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Haley, Kiley, and Tyler; one great grandchild, McKinley; lifelong friend, Linda Nettles; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne Tarvin, brother, John Poultney, and sister, Hope Denison.

A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in Mountain View.
