Homer Paul Thrasher, Jr

Homer Paul Thrasher, Jr., of Batesville, departed this life on Saturday, March 4, 2023.  He was born in Watonga, Oklahoma to Homer and Imogene Roberts Thrasher.  

Homer served our country in the Air Force and during his working years he worked in logistics in the oil fields. He lived and worked in the Alaskan oil fields from 1976 until 1992.  He and his wife, Diane, were married in June of 1959 and enjoyed over fifty years of marriage until her death in 2012.  Homer and Diane loved helping others and together they touched many lives.

One of his favorite pastimes was shooting guns with his son, Steven.  He also enjoyed gardening and wood working.  One of his life enjoyment's was chauffeuring his "adopted" granddaughter, Abby to various activities and events.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Diane, son, Patrick, and two sisters.

Homer is survived by his son, Steve Thrasher; adopted daughter, Rhonda Frost Gillian;  adopted grandchildren, Tracy Christensen, Abby Whittier, Karla Middleton, and Dewey Frost; close family friends, Tammy and Sonny Hayes; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
