Karen Sue Sharp

Karen Sue Sharp, 55, of Batesville, departed from this walk of life on Thursday, February 18, 2021.   She was born in Newport on April 3, 1965 to Delmar Darvin Sharp and Elizabeth Ann (Crump)Sharp.

Karen was blessed with two brothers and three sisters, Ricky Wayne, Calvin, Gayle, Dorothy, and Nell Ann.

She was a dedicated and faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Southside.  Often, she would invite others to attend church with her and she was instrumental in leading others to Christ.

Karen was very caring and giving person.  Her nickname was “Care Bear” and those around her were always considered her family.  Her special friend, Herb, was her best buddy.  She also loved animals and small children. She loved to color and often would give her colored pages to her friends to enjoy.  

Her favorite color was pick and everything in her room had to be pink which included her lamp stand, bed comforter, and curtains.

Karen’s favorite time of year was her birthday, and she would tell everyone that her birthday was coming in April.  She loved people and they loved her.  She will be missed.

A  Memorial Service will be Sunday, February 28, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Southside.
