Larry Allen Finney

Larry Allen Finney, 73, of Batesville, departed this life on January 6, 2023.  He was born in South Bend, Indiana, on August 12, 1949, to Linden S. Finney and Agnes Harrington.  During his working years he was employed by GEN Corp.  He was a member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church in Rosie.

Larry loved going to church, gospel music, and when he could no longer go to church, he listened to Bro. Curt online.  He loved watching sports and teasing his daughter about the Razorbacks.  His favorite times was the times he spent with his grandkids and great grandkids.  God and his family meant everything to him.

He is survived by his son, Larry Kelly, of Evening Shade; his daughters, Brianna Shaw (Joe), of Thida, and Chas Melton (James), of Romance; a brother, Linnie Finney (Deanna), of Imboden; seven grandchildren, Katie, Jayden, Gavin, Jonas, Braylen, Rafe, and Hunter; three great grandchildren, Brileigh, Brecken, and Brooks; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years, Kathy Polston Finney, his parents, his brother, Mike, a sister, Sandy, and granddaughter, Brylee.

A Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Maple Springs Baptist Church, in Rosie, with Bro. Curt Howard, Bro. Jody Davis, and Bro. Shannon Fennell officiating.

Interment will be in Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Sandtown.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Westmoreland, Matt Brock, Justin Saffell, Dennis Lowry, Daniel Holt, Ryan Fletcher.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Curt Howard, Shannon Fennell, Braxton Martin, and Men of the Overcomers Ministry,

Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
