Norma Margaret Jackson

Norma Margaret Jackson, 77, of Batesville, departed this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025.  She was born on February 9, 1948, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Leon and Arkie Alumbaugh Ramsey.

Norma worked in the Arkansas Rehabilitation Center as a secretary for several years.  

She loved going to estate auctions and looking at antiques, especially antique cars. Her family will remember her baking wonderful chocolate pies and making chocolate gravy. She loved the Beatles and remembered watching them on the Ed Sullivan show. Also a favorite past time of hers was working on word puzzles and gardening.

She was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed watching the football games with her children and grandchildren.  She cherished her family especially all the “grand” children!

Norma had a heart for fur babies and gave a loving home to Nalla, Oscar, Buppy, Aderbess, Baby, and her cat, Kitty Puss.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Clellan Keith (Leslie) Jackson, of Concord; her daughter, Sandy Lynn Jackson (Gregory) Bridgman, of Batesville; her brother, Norman Ramsey, of Floral; her sisters, Sue Ella Roberts, of Floral, Loretta Ann Bowman, of Batesville, and Linda Sue Southerland, of Bald Knob; her grandchildren, Justin Lynn Wilkerson, Ericka Lysle (Jonathan) Tubbs, Billy Joseph Wilkerson, and Andrew Kyle (Kayla) Jackson, Cady Hackworth, Lindsay Hackworth, Macie Hackworth, and Jeffrey Hackworth ; her great grandchildren, Sophia, Grayson, Rhailynn, Harper, Rowyn, Emma, Sawyer, and Everett; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynnord Keith Jackson; grandson, Bradley Jonathan Kealer; sisters, Dixie Wood, Pat Davidson, Hazel Ashworth; and brother, Johnny Ramsey.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Bro. Jeff Davidson officiating. 

Burial will follow the service in the Concord Cemetery in Concord, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Joey Wilkerson, Kyle Jackson, Nathan Ramsey, Ralph Foster, Joe Foster, and Jason Jones.

Honorary Pallbearer is Greg Bridgman.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
