Roger Wayne McIntosh, 75, of Locust Grove, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Batesville. He was born at home in Antlers, Oklahoma, on January 17, 1950, to John D. McIntosh and Ruby Christine Perks.
Roger served our country faithfully for over twenty-four years in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in the United Kingdom and United States, before retiring as Master Sergeant from Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico in 1993. After his military career, he moved to Arkansas close to his mother and worked at Kohler in Searcy until 2009 as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician. He graduated from Foothills Technical Institute and began working as a Facility Assistant and Certified Fitness Instructor with AR-Care for a short time.
Roger was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, loved fishing, and enjoyed telling stories and joking with anyone who would listen. He had a meticulous nature, often insisting that things be done his way, and had a big heart for charities and giving to others.
Roger had a love for animals and will surely be missed by his service dog, Delilah, and his fellow companion dogs, Miss Charlie and Mr. Poppy, and his birds, Miss Lily and Mr. Petey.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Debbie Massey McIntosh, of the home, his sons Andrew (Amber) Gonzales of McCrory, Arkansas, Augustine Gonzales of Clovis, New Mexico; daughter, Angel (Ernie) Davila of Seagraves, Texas; sister, B. Deloris (Ron) Perry of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughters, Asalee Russell and Zoey Fitzpatrick, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his two parents; two brothers, Raymond and J.D. McIntosh; and sister, Rita Davenport.
Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service.
Service date and time will be announced later
