Roy Dean Martin

Roy Dean Martin, 77, of Floral, passed peacefully at home on March 17, 2022, with his wife by his side.  He was born in Parkin, Arkansas on October 29, 1944, to John Martin and Edith Johnson Martin.

During his working years, Roy farmed in California and operated backhoe and dozer equipment.  He enjoyed growing things and built amazing houses.  His last house design was for his loving wife.

He and Jo Ann Ford were married on December 14, in Lamont, California and they treasured over forty-five years of marriage.  He lived to take care of her and together they lived a full life.  Memories included motorcycle trike rides and water skiing even though Roy could not swim.  He always stayed busy and on task especially doing his "honey do's" for Jo Ann.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, Vernell Martin Bunnell, Leta Martin Lambert, Norma Jean Martin Knight, Lester Joe Martin, Charles Leo Martin, Rose Mary Martin Baker, and John Calvin Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, of the home; daughter, Valarie J. Martin; son, Randy D. (Tina) Martin; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; and loved ones.
