Shirley Mae Hampton

Shirley Mae Hampton, 78, of Pleasant Plains departed this life on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Little Rock.  She was born in Bertrand, Missouri, on October 13, 1944 to John Riley and Mandi Franks Sullivan.   She and Thomas J. Hampton were married on September 15, 1965 and enjoyed over forty-four years of marriage until his death in 2009.

During her lifetime she was a factory worker and member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Faith.  

When she was younger, Shirley loved to sew.  She also loved fishing and outdoor activities.

Shirley is survived by her son, Michael Hampton, of Pleasant Plains; her sisters, Fern (Johnny) Mize, of Walden, and Ruby Easley, of Raytown, Missouri: and sister in law, Kathryn Sullivan, of Velvet Ridge; nephews, Alan Dawson and Ray Dawson, of Apache Junction, Arizona.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tom, brothers, Clifford Wallace, Gale Wallace, John Wayne "Bud" Sullivan, and Jackie Sullivan, her sisters, Ann Beck, Marie Crawford, and Barbara Goodwin.

Graveside Service will be Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Velvet Ridge Cemetery in Bald Knob with Bro. Brandon Apple officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Donald, Alan Price, Randy Price, Matt Pitcher, Terry Hudson, and Eric Thorne.
