Tiauna Marisha "Diamond" Matthews

Tiauna Marisha “Diamond” Matthews, 17, of Batesville departed this life on March 13, 2022. She was born in West Helena on August 24, 2004, to Sylvia Whiteside Matthews.

Tiauan attended Southside High School and was a cheerleader who enjoyed attending sports events. She loved doing hair, make-up, rap dancing, singing, and listening to music.  She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and making tik tok videos with them and her friends.

She was an out-going, caring, and beautiful person who enjoyed making people laugh. Her future plans included graduating, moving to Atlanta and opening a dance studio.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Sylvia; brothers, Itrevone Sain, Anthony Casey, Isaiah Matthews, Jeremiah Matthews, all of Batesville; sisters, Ruthvattea Whiteside, Angel Matthews, Miracle Otis, all of Batesville; nieces, Idyanna Whiteside, Akeelah Neal; nephews, Kayden Whiteside, Zaverie Neal; a special aunt, Alexis Neal; sister in law, Terri Scarber; special friend Jordis Jaynes; best friend Angelica; many family members and friends.
