Verna Jean Simpson

Verna Jean Simpson passed from this life on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 73 years of age. She was born in Natchez, Mississippi on August 31, 1946 to the late John Carl and Ivy Agnes (Shores) Fuqua.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Batesville. Verna loved to craft, read, go to yard sales and play Yahtzee.

Verna is survived by her two sons, Richard Eric Bausch of Batesville and David Ray Vaughan and fiancé, Candice Koenig of Batesville; her very dear friends, Sharon Adamson of Ft. Smith, Mary Bruce of Rogers, Virginia of Fayetteville, and Joyce Allender of Batesville, and many good friends in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ivy Fuqua and two brothers, Roger Evans and Lonnie Evans.

A Memorial Service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 in the chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service Chapel at 2180 Batesville Blvd., Southside, Arkansas with President Leon E. Vaughn officiating.
