William Glenn Downing

William Glenn Downing, 78 of Pleasant Plains, departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his home to be with the Lord. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on December 29, 1945, to Charles Samuel and Elizabeth Johnson Downing. He spent his working years in various roles of the construction industry.

William loved the Lord and his relationship with Christ guided his life. His passions included traveling, playing golf, and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with family, attending sporting events, and taking vacations with his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandra Flores of Pleasant Plains, his brother, Michael Downing, of Springfield, Missouri, and sister Julie Downing-Howard, of Oregon; his children, Lisa (Daniel) Sepich of Gilbert, Arizona, William (Stacie)Downing, of Centerton, Arkansas, and David (Erin) Downing, of Fort Mills, South Carolina; his stepchildren, Sarah Allen, of Bradford, Arkansas, Josh (Melissa) Allen, of Searcy, Arkansas, and James Flores, of Bentonville; fourteen grandchildren, Alyson, Emily, Wyatt, Xavier, Noah, Daveney, Levi, Haevyn, Josh Jr., Jacob, Rebecca, Trinity, Presley, and Kenley, several nieces, nephews, and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Bro. Robert Hale officiating. 

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Oakland Church, P O Box 117, Bradford, Arkansas, 72020.
